A KEY QUESTION
Request a drawing that identifies each bridge section, its supporting implants and how it will be maintained.
Turn the label into a drawing
If a proposal says “3-on-6”, ask the provider to draw exactly what that means: how many separate bridges, how many implants and which implants support each section. Treat “All-on-8” as a label requiring the same clarification, rather than proof of a particular fit.
Keep the labelled drawing with the quotation. Check whether it describes the temporary teeth, the final teeth or both; do not assume these drawings would be identical.
Ask why the supports are arranged that way
ITI guidance identifies one-piece versus segmented construction, implant distribution, available space, bite and cleaning access as planning factors. Additional implants can create options for separate sections; a higher count does not automatically establish a better plan.
Ask the clinician to explain the recommendation for your upper or lower jaw. If another proposal differs, compare the reasons and assumptions rather than scoring plans by their implant totals.
Discuss everyday care and future work
Implants, connectors and replacement teeth are different components. Gum health, home cleaning and professional reviews remain important with implant-supported teeth. Ask for a demonstration of access around your proposed restoration.
Ask what would happen if one tooth-shaped part chipped, a connector loosened or an implant needed attention. Which parts could be assessed separately? Would the restoration need removal, and by whom? Have the dentist explain the actual construction instead of assuming segmentation makes every repair simpler.

Make the agreed design reviewable
Request the proposed material, tooth arrangement, temporary stage and final design in writing. Ask what would trigger a change and how a new choice would be discussed before proceeding.
Take time to understand alternatives, costs and the consequences of treatment. The GDC consent source below describes UK professional standards, not Turkish law. Best Smile Turkey coordinates enquiries; the treating dentist must explain and confirm the restoration plan.
For All-on-4 or All-on-6 estimates, check the full-mouth quote and included bridge scope. Compare the same arch coverage and confirm the proposed bridge design, materials and treatment stages.
