VERIFY NAMES AND ROLES

Check who will provide your dental treatment abroad

Get the treating dentist’s full name and the clinic’s formal name and address, then verify the relevant official records. Check the booking company separately: it may coordinate travel without providing clinical treatment.

Check provider credentials

  1. Person

Request the treating clinician’s full name, role and relevant professional details.

  2. Place

Confirm the clinic’s legal identity and the address where you will be treated.

  3. Organisation

Identify who coordinates travel, takes payment and handles clinical concerns.

A KEY QUESTION

Match the named clinician and actual treatment facility to the appropriate official evidence; a logo or testimonial is not a substitute.

01

Name the people and place

Record who will examine you, perform each procedure and fit the restoration. “Our expert team” leaves that unclear. Best Smile Turkey is a health-tourism intermediary; the treating dental team provides treatment. Those roles do not replace verifying the particular clinician and facility proposed for your appointment.

02

Use Turkey’s official facility lists

THE DETAILS TO UNDERSTAND

The Turkish Ministry of Health links current authorised healthcare-facility lists by category. Match the formal name and location to your paperwork. Resolve trading-name differences through the provider and, if needed, the official authority. A facility listing does not verify an individual dentist’s qualifications or guarantee an outcome.

A reading map for this section. General information; discuss your individual circumstances with the appropriate clinician.
03

Check the intermediary separately

The Turkish Ministry of Health has a separate authorised-intermediary entry point leading to HealthTürkiye’s agency directory. Ask for the booking company’s formal business name and match it to the official entry, rather than relying on a trading name or logo. Resolve any mismatch through the organisation and the official authority before making a booking decision.

An intermediary listing is separate from facility authorisation and an individual dentist’s credentials. It does not establish that a treatment is suitable for you or guarantee an outcome. This guide does not verify a particular company’s listing.

04

Verify the clinician separately

Ask the clinician which official authority can confirm their permission to practise at the treatment location, and request the identifying details that authority needs. Find its contact details on its official website and ask how to check the clinician’s status. For a specialist claim, establish who recognises the qualification and what it covers. A course certificate, membership and recognised specialist status are different credentials.

05

Know what GDC registration covers

The GDC register verifies registration to practise dentistry in the UK. Check it for someone providing a UK dental assessment or advice. A Turkey-based dentist does not automatically need GDC registration to treat British travellers in Turkey; relevant local requirements apply.

06

Question evidence of experience

Discuss experience with your procedure and how complications are handled. Reviews and photographs cannot establish current authorisation or personal suitability. For a claimed success rate, request its source, definition and follow-up period. A patient total alone says little about outcomes for a particular treatment.

Read about assessing dental reviews to separate coordination feedback from evidence about treatment and follow-up.

07

Keep dated evidence

Save official links and the date checked alongside your plan. Repeat relevant checks if the dentist or facility changes. Pause the booking decision while unclear identities, qualifications or complaint arrangements are explained.

  • Clinician name and role
  • Formal facility name and address
  • Official check and date

Common questions

No. It explains a checking process. Confirm the current details of the provider proposed for your care.

These are different checks. Establish what an organisational document covers and verify the individual clinician separately.

Not by itself. Ask for the formal registered name and address, then resolve the mismatch through official sources.
